Battling it out against the big boys
(and coming out on top)

It’s not easy for a little-known developer to compete against the big boys in Australia’s fastest growing municipality. But Verdant Hill did, and became the corridor’s most searched community.

Melbourne’s Western Growth Corridor is Australia’s fastest growing municipality. It’s a land supermarket. Most major developers have at least one masterplanned community in market. And in a relatively uninspiring topographical landscape, projects are fighting it out with not much to differentiate themselves.

Verdant Hill in Tarneit is one of those places. A medium sized project promising to deliver the expected mix of amenity and parkland any masterplanned community must be competitive. But in the sixth most in-demand suburb in Victoria, this does not equate to a competitive advantage. Furthermore, Verdant Hill is not backed by a major developer with an existing reputation and marketing budget to encourage preference. Upon launch in 2016, they had to start from scratch.

Town Square focused all Verdant Hill’s marketing on Facebook, SEO and SEM with a single-minded determination to be the first on the list when potential purchasers went searching. And it worked. Within months of beginning the program, Verdant Hill was generating the most enquiries in Tarneit and the fourth most in the state, according to a study by realestate.com.au that appeared in the Herald Sun on March 2017. This has translated to sold out releases and waiting lists to purchase land.
