Town Square looks to the future with Melbourne Girls Grammar

The world of work is rapidly changing. The careers of tomorrow will bear little resemblance to the careers of today, which means education providers need to adapt and evolve.

Melbourne Girls Grammar is determined to stay ahead of the curve, with a proud focus on STEM subjects as a key platform.

Technological change is causing a fundamental paradigm-shift in the labour market. To prepare our children for the conventional careers of the past is to deny this reality. Today’s students need to learn the skills that will equip them for the new world of work. Melbourne Girls Grammar (MGGS) is paving the way for the next generation of career women with its forward-thinking educational philosophy, focusing on its STEM program.

The STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) focuses on preparing students for progressive careers in fields including engineering, software development and scientific research, with a keen eye on enterprise culture. A recent report commissioned by the National Broadband Network (NBN) suggests that half of employees will require technical skills by 2030.

In 2017, Town Square has been working with MGGS to develop video content as a showcase for the STEM program, and evidence of young women applying their MGGS education to forge exciting new careers that tackle the future head-on. Town Square is excited to work with an organisation that’s leading the agenda in the evolving education landscape.
