Life’s good up here at Banyan Hill

How amazing would it be to live up in the hinterland of northern NSW looking down at those beaches and coastal towns? It’s the dream. At Banyan Hill it’s a reality with this new brand by Town Square.

The coastal region of northern NSW is nothing short of spectacular. It’s the sort of place that’s so magical, most of us feel lucky enough to get to visit on holidays. With the regions astronomical rise in popularity and housing prices, for those that wish to call it home more permanently, it can feel like a dream that is slipping out of reach.

Banyan Hill is a masterplanned community about 30 minutes south of Byron Bay, on the fringe of the hinterland above Lennox Head and Ballina. What it lacks in ‘Insta’ status, it more than makes up in natural, down-to-earth, coastal living charm. When it came time to refresh the brand following a series of project setbacks, we wanted to create a brand that embodied all of this.

We developed the brand platform, ‘Life’s good up here’, an honest and colloquial articulation of what it will be like to call a place like this home. We created a new logo and brand identity inspired by the contemporary playfulness and relaxed coastal Australiana vibes the area’s best brands are known for. Even the new ‘sunscreen’ inspired logo reminiscent of long days at the beach drawing figures on each other’s backs.

The stills photography by Jessie Prince and drone by Trevor King, both locals to the area, captured the many dimensions of what it will mean to live at Banyan Hill: the hills, the views, the hinterland and the towns. But more importantly, the imagery evokes the feeling, that dreamy and invigorating sentimentality that is totally unique to this part of the world.

“Working on the new brand for Banyan Hill has been an absolute labour of love for me. I am thrilled to be relaunching this naturally beautiful project, it is one of my personal favourites from our portfolio and I sincerely thank the team at Town Square for helping me to bring my vision to life”. Said Sally Steinkrug, National Marketing Manager, Intrapac Property.

The relaunch is currently in market across OOH, radio, print, digital and social as well as a full suite of brand collateral and comms.
