Marysville. Real. Close.
On February 7 2009, the Black Saturday Bushfires devastated the local township of Marysville, claiming far too many lives and much of the regions iconic architecture. It also destroyed the region’s booming tourism industry, something many of the locals relied on to make a living.
Fast-forward five years and this beautiful part of Victoria had once again found its feet – unfortunately visitors were still timid to return. Not wanting to wallow in the past, we created a campaign to remind Melburnians of the idyllic charm Marysville possesses so close to home – a place perfect for a short rejuvenating getaway.
