Unfortunately, not all fruit and veg can be designer fruit and veg. Which means a lot of fruit and veg gets rejected by Coles and Woolworths and many other retailers. Which sucks because then it gets dumped in landfill. That’s where Spade & Barrow comes in. They buy this produce and sell it to people who care more about what their potatoes taste like than what they look like.
We thought, what better way to brand a social enterprise that upholds the value of fresh produce regardless of its aesthetic flaws than to create its logo from potato prints?
